Panasonic P101 Launched in India Featuring 18:9 ‘Big View’ Display

Panasonic, the Japanese smartphone manufacturer company has unveiled a new smartphone in its P -series, dubbed as Panasonic P101. The company reported that now they are putting efforts to offer only 18:9 aspect ratio ‘Big View display’ smartphones and P101 is the second smartphone that comes with the same display at an affordable price. The smartphone is said to feature an 18:9 aspect ratio with ‘Big View’ Display. The newly launched smartphone falls under the category of affordable segment. The highlighting features of Panasonic P101 are a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 8-megapixel rear camera, Smart Actions, and the 5.45-inch display. The smartphone is available for purchase at offline retail channels and e-commerce website, Sangeetha Mobiles Pvt. Ltd.

According to Pankaj Rana, Business Head - Mobility Division, Panasonic India, In order to meet the needs of the trendy young users, we are now focusing on 18:9 aspect ratio Big View display smartphones and P101 is our second offering in the market with the same at an aggressively affordable price.”

Panasonic P101 Price in India and Launch Offers

The Panasonic P101 costs around Rs 6,999. As a part of launch offers, Idea Cellular is offering 60 GB data to existing and new users. Apart from this, on a prepaid recharge of Rs 199, the users will get 10GB of internet usage, valid for 28- days. The Idea customers can also avail the cashback of Rs 2000 on the purchase of Panasonic P101, applicable until 30th April 2018.

Panasonic P101 Specifications

Panasonic P101 bears a 5.45-inch Big View Display and protected with 2.5D curved glass. The smartphone has a quad-core MediaTek MT6737 chipset, clocked at 1.3GHz. It is equipped with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage which can be further extended up to 128GB by using a dedicated memory card. It runs on Android 7.1 Operating System and packs a 2,500mAh battery.

In terms of photography, the Panasonic P101sport an 8-megapixel rear camera 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. Both of the cameras come with LED flash.

In terms of connectivity, the smartphone offers 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, AGPS, and FM radio, whereas sensors on the smartphone are an accelerometer, proximity sensor, compass, and ambient light sensor. The weight of Panasonic P101 is 145 grams and its dimensions are 148.8x72x9.1mm.
