News was there that Xiaomi is working on a flagship smartphone which would come powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC. It has come through Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun who himself commented on his channel, the Weibo, that the Redmi smartphone would come powered by a Snapdragon 855 SoC.
The continuous rumours regarding this upcoming smartphone has been covering the mobileworld’s sky since long and had unveiled the design details of the upcoming handset. Now, a fresh video has hit the internet world and claims that the smartphone revealed in the video is the Redmi flagship.
This new Redmi flagship mobile has been in news since long. It was CEO Lei Jun who confirmed that the working on Qualcomm Snapdragon 855-powered flagship is under progress.
Following the confirmation regarding the WIP of Qualcomm Snapdragon 855-powered flagship from CEO Lei Jun, Redmi Chief Lu Weibing posted referring the device to be “855 Flagship”.

There was a leaked video which claimed the smartphone revealed to be a Redmi phone which is a pop-up selfie camera as well as a triple camera setup at the back. This rumour was laid aside soon by the General Manager Lu Weibing in a Weibo post. The upcoming flagship named the “855 Flagship” is rumoured to get unveiled as the Redmi Pro 2.
Now, as per the recent video leak, spotted by SlashLeaks, the phone revealed there was claimed to be Redmi Pro 2. The most talked and alleged Redmi Pro 2 a hole punch display in the middle of the upper part of the display. This handset has thin bezels on the sides and in contrast, the bottom chin seems thicker. The display size is not revealed at the moment but Gizmochina estimates it to be in the 6 to 6.3-inch range.
Talking about the rear side, the smartphone has a triple camera setup similar as Mi 9 with an LED flash below the camera module. There is a physical fingerprint scanner visible at the backside of the phone. No other such information is else available in context to this smartphone at the moment. Also, no confirmation is there for this smartphone to be truly Redmi Pro 2 or not. Thus, the readers would be suggested to take the leak as a pinch of salt as there it is evident from the past that many leaks have been denied by the Company in the past.
