Announced earlier in late January, Xiaomi has finally launched its first Android Go smartphone - Redmi Go in India at an event in New Delhi on 19th March.
It is the first Android Go smartphone from Xiaomi & its opening at Rs. 4499 makes it the most affordable smartphone yet from the company.
The entry-level device packs a 5-inch HD screen, Snapdragon 425 SoC with 1GB of RAM & unlimited Google Photos storage, 4G LTE with nano SIM slots and a 3000mAh battery.
For photography, the smartphone features 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 5-megapixel front camera.

The Xiaomi Redmi Go comes in Black and Blue colors is priced at Rs. 4,499 for the 1GB RAM/ 8GB inbuilt storage variant with the unavailability of the 1GB RAM/ 16GB inbuilt storage variant in India. Redmi Go made its availability in the Philippines in February. In India, it will be available on sale starting at 12 pm (noon) on March 22nd on Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home Stores.
It brings along with Rs. 2200 cashback as in vouchers and 100GB data for Jio users.
The smartphone runs on lightweight Android Go edition and the OS has been particularly built for these kinds of low-end hardware equipped devices.
