Redmi Note 5 Flame Red Color Edition Launched in China

Redmi Note 5 Flame Red Color Edition has been launched by Xiaomi in its home country, China. The new color variant is available only in one storage variant 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. Xiaomi had launched the Redmi Note 5 Pro on 22nd February in India which has been available at a starting price of Rs 14,999.

The Redmi Note 5 Pro is the best selling smartphone in India and it was launched in China with the name tag of Redmi Note 5 so don’t be confused with the name of the smartphones.

At the time of the official launch, the company had announced that Xiaomi will soon launch the Red color variant of the Redmi Note 5 in China. Earlier, the company launched the Redmi Note 5 in Gold, Black, Lake Blue, and Rose Gold color variants which are currently available for purchase. The newly launched Red color variant of Redmi Note 5 would soon be arriving in the Indian market as well.

Redmi Note 5 Flame Red Color Edition Price

The new Flame Red Color variant of Redmi Note 5 has been priced at CNY 1,399 roughly translates to Rs 14,500, as posted by the company on Weibo. It is worth noting that the price of the Red Color variant is identical to the previously launched Redmi Note 5 which is equipped with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.

Redmi Note 5 Flame Red Edition Specifications

Apart from color, the rest of the specifications of Redmi Note 5 Flame Red Color variant are similar to the Redmi Note 5 standard Chinese variant. The Chinese variant of the Redmi Note 5 Flame Red Color has a 5.99-inch full-HD+ display, 18:9 aspect ratio and a screen resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. It runs on Android Oreo operating system skinned with MIUI 9. In terms of hardware, the smartphone gets a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage with an option to extend further via memory card.

The newly launched Redmi Note 5 Flame Red Color Variant gets vertically positioned dual 12MP+ 5MP cameras on the rear panel. For the front, the smartphone sport a 13MP selfie camera integrated with artificial intelligence (AI) features and HDR which allow the users to click better photos.

The connectivity options on the Redmi Note 5 Flame Red Color Variant are 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Under the hood, it is powered by a larger 4000mAh battery with the Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology which charges the smartphone quickly. In terms of dimensions, it measures 158.6x75.4x8.05mm.
