Samsung has finally launched the next smartphone of the ‘Galaxy A’ series which is dubbed as Galaxy A70. The smartphone was announced at the event which was held on 10th April. The pre-bookings of the smartphone will start from 20th April till 30th April. But the actual sales will start from 1st May. The smartphone flaunts a 6.7-inch display with an aspect ratio of 20:9 along with a dewdrop shape notch on it. It comes with triple camera setup at the back, a 32MP front camera, and massive 4,500mAh battery along with the support of 25W Super-Fast Charging technology. The handset runs on the latest Android Pie with One UI software on it and comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory variant of the Samsung Galaxy A70 carries a price tag of Rs 28,990. The smartphone will be available in three color options- White, Blue, and Black.
The Samsung Galaxy A70 will be available for pre-bookings from 20th April and till 30th April. The customers who will pre-book the smartphone can avail the Samsung U Flex Bluetooth headset at just Rs 999 which in actual costs Rs. 3,799.
The Samsung Galaxy A70 will in actual go on sale in India from 1st May via Flipkart, Samsung Opera House, retail stores, and Samsung online shop.
The smartphone comes with a 3D Glasstic design, dewdrop notch, and chin at the bottom. While the power button and volume button is positioned on the right edge of the smartphone.
In terms of the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy A70 sports a 6.7-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display with screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and aspect ratio of 20:9. It carries an under-display fingerprint scanner and facial recognition for security.

The smartphone measure 164.3 x 76.7 x 7.9mm and hold a capacity of a 4,500mAh battery along with Super-Fast charging at 25W support. The company has also included Samsung Health, Samsung Pay, and Bixby.
The dual SIM smartphone under the hood carries an octa-core processor (Dual 2.0GHz + Hexa 1.7GHz) and runs One UI software based Android 9 Pie out of the box.
The smartphone comes in two RAM variants- 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM options along with 128GB internal memory which can further be expanded up to 512GB up to microSD card slot.
In terms of the photography, the Galaxy A70 at the back flaunts triple camera setup which is positioned vertically and houses a 32-megapixel sensor with an f/1.7 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.2 aperture (123 degrees), a 5-megapixel third depth sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and the flash positioned just below the sensors.
At the front, the smartphone comes with a 32MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calling. The company claims that the Scene Optimiser in the smartphone can analyse the scenes across 20 modes and can also adjust the colour, contrast, and brightness to improve the photos. The smartphone also includes features like AR Emoji and Selfie Focus. There is a support of Widevine L1 certification in the smartphone that gives HD video streaming while on-the-go.
