South Korean manufacturer Samsung upcoming Note-series Android phablet dubbed the Galaxy Note 6 phablet might get a specs overhaul in terms of its display and battery capacity. As per the latest reports via SamMobile, it is rumored that Samsung is really testing out two different form factors for its upcoming phablet in a way that each form factor houses a sizeable 4000mAh battery.
As per the reports, Samsung is exploring the options of featuring both a flat design alongside a curved display and after testing it on all factors only one of the designs would be finalized. In terms of specifications, both the displays sports Quad HD resolution with display size being 5.8-inches in size. To make it stand apart from the rest, Samsung is using the tag 'Slim RGB' display that not only would make the panel light in weight but will also allow for proper space to fit in the expected 4000mAh battery.
It won't be wrong to state that in the past, phablets had always been considered gigantic and the presence of bigger batteries made them heavier and hence the company had always preferred using smaller capacity batteries and this concept worked well in Samsung Note 5 but did got fail in terms of battery life on the Dual-SIM variant of Note 5.
Tech experts do expect that Samsung while manufacturing Note 6 does keep a check on the terms of overall weight and doesn't manufacture it like various other Chinese smartphones that despite giving long standby times heavily compromise on weight.
Apart from the weight and display, it is expected that the upcoming smartphone would likely sport 6GB of RAM coupled with an onboard storage capacity of 32GB. Additionally, the test models are said to feature an Exynos 8890 and Snapdragon 820 SoCs both of which operate on the latest Android operating system dubbed as Android N whose developer preview was launched quite recently by Google as a surprise to the entire tech industry.
