Samsung Galaxy S7 Active Exclusively Launched In The USA

One of the world's biggest smartphone maker Samsung has recently announced that the company is all set to launch the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active exclusively for the USA on June 10. The smartphone will be released through AT&T.

AT&T will be dispatching Samsung Galaxy S7 Active

The S7 Active is clad in a camouflage design that is very much similar to the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active and is expected to garner users attention. The company has replaced the capacitive buttons of the Samsung Galaxy S7 with physical ones and ditches the glass build with tough plastic all around the edges to make it more drop resistant. This is a phone that puts function over form, unlike the S7, which holds them in near equal regard.

On the specification front, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active is just amazing as the device has been incorporated with a 5.1-inch screen runs at 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. The Samsung has opted for the Snapdragon 820 instead of its own Exynos SoC in this handset, which was used in the non-US version of the S7. On comparison to the other devices like the S7, that has 3,000mAh and the Nexus 6P that packs 3,450mAh, this latest Samsung smartphone has a massive 4,000 mAh battery power that just enhances the list of specifications of the handset.

Earlier the company had launched Samsung Galaxy S6 Active exclusively in the USA

The company has yet not declared about the availability of the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active outside the USA. But it is being said that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 will be pretty similar to the S7 active. The only difference may be that the Galaxy S7 may not have as big of a battery, but that's really its only downside by comparison as S7 will have the same processor, screen quality, and IP68 protection. A user can essentially turn his/her S7 into an S7 Active by putting a case on it.

When queried about the release of S7 Active outside of the US from AT&T, the company said, "at this time, we're not announcing any plans to launch the phone outside the U.S. market." Who knows, maybe we'll see the S7 Active floating into new waters soon enough.
