Samsung has today unveiled the Galaxy A9s and Galaxy A6s smartphones in the Chinese market. While both phones are equipped with the Snapdragon 660 SoC, the Galaxy A9s has similar configurations as the Galaxy A9 (2018), which was recently launched globally.
The phone has a quadruple camera (four cameras) setup on the rear, same as its global variant. Other similarities between the Galaxy A9s and Galaxy A6s include a 6GB RAM, up to 128 GB internal memory option, and the Super AMOLED Infinity Display as standard.
The Samsung Galaxy A6s is a dual-SIM Android smartphone that features a 6-inch Super AMOLED full-HD+ Infinity Display. The device gets its power from a 660 Qualcomm's Snapdragon processor which has been mated with a 6GB of RAM.
The internal storage options include 64GB and 128 GB, which is further expandable via a dedicated microSD slot.
The phone has a dual camera setup at the back consisting of either two 12-MP sensors or one 12MP and one 5MP sensor, both with f/1.8 aperture. The Galaxy A6s get a single 24-MP front selfie camera. Connectivity features include a 3.5mm jack, Wi-Fi, USB type-C port, and Bluetooth.
The Galaxy A6s has been launched in China with a price tag of CNY 1,799 (approx. Rs. 19,000) for the 64GB memory variant while the 128GB storage variant costs CNY 2,199 (approx. Rs. 23,200). Both phones are already available for pre-ordering through JD.com website.
The Samsung Galaxy A9s is also a dual-SIM phone which gets a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED full-HD+ Infinity Display. The phone is powered by the same 660 Qualcomm's Snapdragon SoC.
It is available in a single 128GB internal storage variant which gets 6GB of RAM. The memory can be expanded up to 512 GB through microSD slot.
The camera is probably the most interesting part of the Galaxy A6s, as it features a setup of four cameras, including a 24MP sensor with f/1.7 aperture, a 10MP telephoto sensor with f/2.4 aperture, an 8MP super wide angle sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 5MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture, similar to the Galaxy A9 model.
The front of the device gets a 24MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. The Galaxy A9s comes with face unlock support and also has a fingerprint sensor on the back side.
The phone has standard connectivity options including Wi-Fi, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth, and a USB type-C port. It gets power from a 3,800 mAh batter enable with fast charging capability.
As for the price, the device has been listed for CNY 3,499 (about Rs. 36,900) on JD.com website.
