Sony, the Japanese electronics major company has announced the official launch of its latest Android smartphones in the Z series. The smartphones are dubbed as Xperia Z5 Dual and Xperia Z5 Premium- the world's first 4K smartphone.
After the launching of Sony Xperia Z5 at the IFA event in Berlin last month, the company has finally brought its flagship smartphone to India. The dubbed smartphone Xperia Z5 Dual is priced at Rs.52,900. The device will be available from October 23.
The company has pre-installed the device with Modern combat 5 game and also offering three months of subscription for Sony Music, Sony LIV, Hungama Play and free e-books worth Rs.1000 on Amazon's Kindle app.
At the specification end, the Sony Xperia Z5 Dual is featuring a 5.2-inch full HD Triluminos display and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor paired with Adreno 430 GPU. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box and is due to get Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in the coming months. The handset clubs a 3GB of Ram and have the internal storage of 32GB which is further expandable via microSD card slot expansion.
Xperia Z5 Dual making the glimpse with its unibody design with a frosted glass finish at the back. For the security side, Sony has added a fingerprint sensor, which is integrated into the power button on right frame. The smartphone also sporting the IP certification for water and dust proofing.
For the shutterbugs, the Sony Xperia Z5 Dual is loaded with a 23 megapixel camera at the rear end with hybrid auto-focus and LED flashlight. The new camera module has the capability of recording 4K videos. At the front end on the board, the device has the 5 megapixel wide angle camera for selfies and video calling.
On the connectivity front, the smartphone includes dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/c, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC. The device is backed with a 2930mAh non-removable battery and enables with the Quick charge 2.0 feature for faster charging. The company claims that the battery is offering a 2 days life at standing mode.
