Sony, the Japanese smartphone manufacturer has expanded its smartphone series by launching the Xperia XZ3 ahead of IFA 2018 which is to be scheduled in between 31 Aug 2018 to 5 Sep 2018 in Berlin Germany.
Within 6 months of Xperia XZ2, the company has launched the Xperia XZ3, as the tech giant has adopted the short 6-month release cycle to offer new smartphones to its customers.
Both Xperia XZ2 and XZ3 are identical to each other in terms of design. The company is touting that the smartphone runs on Android Pie out-of-the-box.

The smartphone is made available in four color options including Black, White Silver, Forest Green, and Bordeaux Red, but the color variants can vary which depends on the market region. It comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, a dedicated shutter button and rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Currently, the smartphone manufacturer has not unveiled the price of Sony Xperia XZ3 but it will be available for purchase at the end of September in selected markets across the globe.
As far as specifications are concerned, the Sony Xperia XZ3 features a 6-inch QHD+ HDR OLED Triluminos display which offers 18:9 aspect ratio and the screen resolution of 1440 x 2880 pixels. The company claims that the Sony Xperia XZ3 will be shipped with Android Pie.
It will be made available in single-SIM (Nano) and dual-SIM (Nano) versions which depends on the region. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass which protects the smartphone from scratching and damaging.
Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage with an option to extend further up to 512GB by using a micro SD card.
In terms of photography, the Sony Xperia XZ3 features a 19-megapixel 1/ 2.3-inch Exmor RS rear camera with an aperture of f/2.0. The rear camera comes with several features such as predictive hybrid autofocus, predictive capture (motion/smile), autofocus burst, x8 Digital Zoom (photo and video), 960fps super slow motion video (FHD/HD), 4K HDR Movie recording, HDR Photo, anti-distortion shutter, triple image-sensing technology.
The smartphone also has a Smart Launch feature that automatically opens the camera app while holding the smartphone horizontally.
Up front, the Xperia XZ3 has a 13-megapixel 1/ 3.06-inch Exmor RS sensor coupled with 23mm wide angle lens as well as AI-powered features such as offer bokeh and beauty effects.
The Xperia XZ3 packs a 3300 mAh battery bundled with Quick Charge 3.0 Technology and Smart Stamina mode. It is certified with the IP65/68 rating which protects the smartphone from water and dust particles.
The dimensions of the smartphone are 158x73 x9.9mm and the weight is 193 grams. The connectivity options in the Xperia XZ3 include Wi-Fi Miracast, Bluetooth v5, Google Cast, NFC, A-GNSS (GPS + GLONASS), USB Type-C port.
