TCL, a Chinese company best known for its TV sets, has entered the Indian versatile business sector with its first offering, the 560 smartphones. It is priced at Rs. 7,999, the TCL 560 will be available via Amazon India.
The major highlight of the smartphone is its Eye Verify Technology which the company touts can open the smartphone utilizing the front camera of the handset. TCL 560 opens simply after the eye confirmation of the user to prevent unauthorized access, touted Nicolas Zibell, Vice President of TCL Corporation at the launch.
As for the specifications, the TCL 560 is featuring a 5.5-inch HD IPS display having a resolution of 720x1280 pixels. It is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 (MSM8909) processor. It accompanies 2GB of RAM and bears 16GB of inbuilt storage. The handset bolsters expandable capacity up to 32GB via microSD card.
On the software end, the GSM-based handset operates on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out of the box.
