Tecno Camon iACE and iSKY 2 Launched in India

Tecno Mobiles, Hong-Kong based Transition Holding has launched two budget smartphones in India, called with the Camon iACE and iSKY 2. Both of the smartphones share similar specifications excluding camera specs, whereas the iSKY 2 comes with better camera sensors.

Gaurav Tikoo, CMO, Transsion India stated in a press release while addressing at the launch event, “Millennials are in love with the idea of taking endless selfies and are enthusiastically sharing it across social media platforms.

Hence, we believe that the youth aspires for a device that represents them and syncs well with their youthful and fashionable personality and our ‘CAMON’ series resonates well with these expectations with its brand persona.”

Tecno Camon iACE and iSKY 2 Specifications

Starting with the software front, both Camon iACE and iSKY 2 run on top of the line Android 8.1 Oreo layered with the company owned HiOS. Both of them, comes with a 5.5-inch HD+ display which offers the screen resolution 1440 x 720 pixels and the commonly found 18:9 aspect ratio.

Under the hood, Tecno Camon iACE and iSKY 2 are powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6739WW SoC integrated with PowerVR GE8100 GPU. In terms of memory and storage, they get a 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage with an option to extend further up to 128GB by using a micro SD card.

An affordable Tecno Camon iACE gets a 13MP rear camera and 8MP front-facing camera with an aperture of f/2.0 each. Both the rear and front cameras come with dual- LED flash.

On another hand, Camon iSKY 2 comes with dual cameras on the rear panel comprising of the 13MP primary sensor and a VGA camera offering dual LED flash. For selfies and video calling, the smartphone has 13MP front-facing camera featuring f/2.0 aperture and dual LED flash.

Price and Availability

The Camon iACE comes with a price tag of Rs 6,799 whereas the iSKY 2 is retailing at Rs 7,499. Both of the smartphones will be available for purchase via 35,000 retail stores across India. The deliveries of Tecno Camon iACE and iSKY 2 will start from 14th August and 20th August respectively.

Tecno Mobile has partnered with Reliance Jio to offer the cashback amounting Rs 2,200 on the purchase of Camon iACE and iSKY 2. The users will get the cashback in their MyJio App in the form of 44 vouchers each amounting Rs 50 that they can be availed for subsequent Jio recharge of Rs 198 and Rs 299.
