Vivo, the leading Chinese smartphone manufacturing firm unveiled its Vivo V5 Plus smartphone back in January this year in India. The smartphone made its debut in the country with a price tag of Rs 27,980, but now, both the Vivo V5 Plus and Vivo V5 Plus IPL Limited Edition has undergone a price cut and are available with a price tag of Rs 22,990 via Flipkart. The company has confirmed the price cut, however, it is still unclear whether the discounted prices are permanent or are available for a limited time period.
As a recall, the Vivo V5 Plus is a dual-SIM smartphone, which is blessed with a 5.5-inch full-HD display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels and runs company’s Funtouch OS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It is powered by a 2.0 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage, which can not be expanded further.
In term of optics, the Android smartphone is blessed with a dual front camera set up including a 20-megapixel camera with the Sony IMX376 1/2.78-inch sensor, an f/2.0 aperture, and a 5P lens system along with an 8-megapixel camera, which is meant to capture the depth of field information. At the rear side, the company has also provided a 16-megapixel camera with LED flash. The front camera set up of the handset offers bokeh effect capability, which is pretty much satisfying, and the 20-megapixel sensor is also capable of capturing detailed selfies, even under low-light conditions.
The GSM handset is backed up by a 3050mAh battery and includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS as some connectivity options on board. As it is still unclear whether the discounted prices are permanent or not, we will keep you updated with the latest information as it will be announced.
