Vivo V9 was launched by the Chinese smartphone manufacturer company on 23rd March 2018. The company has recently announced that the Vivo V9 is now available in India for purchase at online and offline retail channel partners from 2nd April 2018. At the launch event, the company had announced that it will be available for purchase at several e-commerce platforms Amazon, Paytm, Flipkart and Vivo online store from 5th of April which turned out to be false. The pre-bookings of the newly launched smartphone are currently going on at online channel partners.
The company is offering a one-time screen replacement warranty, an additional discount of Rs. 2,000, and no-cost EMIs on pre-booking the Vivo V9. Paytm, renowned e-commerce and e- payment platform is offering the discount of Rs 2,299 by utilizing the code of 'VIVOV9', whereas another e-commerce platform Amazon is providing cashback of 5 percent via Pay Balance. Both, Vivo as well as Amazon has listed the couple movie tickets via BookMyShow on pre-booking the Vivo V9.
The Vivo V9 launched in India at a price of Rs. 22,990. The company is offering the smartphone in one storage variants: 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. It is available in three color options: Champagne Gold, Pearl Black, and Sapphire Blue. The pre-bookings of V9 started from 3 pm IST on 23rd March. It will be available for purchase from 2nd April and also available for purchase via offline retail channel partners throughout the country from the same date.
The Vivo V9 bears a 6.3-inch full-HD+ IPS 'Full View Display 2.0' and has a 19:9 aspect ratio. It runs on Funtouch OS 4.0 which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo. It will come with 90 percent screen-to-body ratio. The bezels of the smartphone feature a 1.85mm on top which is 76 percent lesser as compared to previous generation Full View display; 1.75mm displays on the side seems that 19 percent inferior and 29 percent fewer bezels on the bottom side and comes with 5.9mm bezels on the bottom.

The V9 is embedded with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 SoC coupled with 4GB of DDR3 RAM. The smartphone is said to feature a dual-rear camera setup which comprises 16-megapixel primary camera with f/2.0 aperture and 5-megapixel secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera setup comes with 'Ultra HDR' mode. For the selfie snapper, the smartphone bears a 24-megapixel front-facing camera along with f/2.0 aperture.
To beautify selfies and video calls, the V9 is equipped with AI-based Face Beautify. Apart from 'Portrait' lighting effect and Bokeh depth-of-field effect the smartphone also has an AR Stickers. The Vivo V9 is said to feature a Face Access 2.0 which helps the users to unlock the smartphone by using face recognition.
The Vivo V9 has a 64GB internal storage that can be further extended up to 256GB via hybrid dual-SIM configuration. It is powered by a 3260 mAh battery and connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a Micro-USB port. Sensors on the smartphone are an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and a proximity sensor. It measures 54.81x75.03x7.99mm and weight of the smartphone is 150 grams.
