Vivo, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer company would be planning to unveil Vivo X21 UD version in India on 29th May in India. The company has started sending invites to press media for the launch event which will schedule on 29th May in New Delhi. Vivo smartphone manufacturer has now confirmed that the Vivo X21 UD with under- display fingferprint sensor will soon coming in India.
The Vivo X21 UD with under- display fingerprint sensor was previously launched in China in the month of March which will be followed by Singapore at the beginning of May and now the company would launch the smartphone in India. Vivo X21 UD comes with under- display fingerprint scanner which is the major key highlighting feature of the smartphone that means the physical home button is missing on it and users have to touch on a designated circular area on-screen to unlock their smartphone.
Vivo X21 UD is identical to Vivo X21 excluding that former comes with under- display fingerprint sensor and the rest of the specifications are identical to each other. Vivo X21 was initially launched in China and never debut to India. Currently, we don’t know that when the Chinese company will launch the Vivo X21 in India.
As per the previous press invite which was shared by Vivo is demonstrating a big X pointing towards an X series Vivo smartphone is coming to India. The company has recently posted the image reads, “First Time Ever - Introducing a revolution in Fingerprint Sensor Technology” and the bottom of the page has revealed the date of the launch event- i.e 29th May with the tagline ‘Stay Tune For the Launch Exclusively on Flipkart’ which pointing towards the the launch of Vivo X21 UD with under- display fingerprint sensor in India. Flipkart, E-commerce platform has started teasing the launch of X21 UD in India on 29th May and boasting that it will be exclusively in its platform.
The press release also contains a messages read, 'see you on May 29, 2018' and now the Chinese company has confirmed that Vivo X21 UD soon coming in India sometimes in late May. The Vivo X21 UD with under- display fingerprint sensor is the company’s second smartphone which comes with an under- display fingerprint scanner after the launch of X20 Plus UD. The Vivo X20 Plus UD was previously unveiled at CES 2018 and later it was launched in China, but it never made an appearance in India.
In China and Singapore, the Vivo X21 have been priced at CNY 3,598 (roughly Rs. 37,100) and SGD 799 (~Rs. 39,900) respectively. As of now, the company has not announced the price details of India. It seems that it will compete against the likes of recently launched Honor 10 and OnePlus 6.
Vivo X21 UD bears a 6.28-inch full-HD+Super AMOLED display along with 19:9 aspect ratio and has a screen resolution of 1080x2280 pixels. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo Operating System based on FunTouch OS 4.0. In terms of hardware, Vivo X21 UD has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC along with an Adreno 512 GPU. It is equipped with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage that can be further extended up to 256GB by using the memory card.
In terms of photography, the X21 UD feature a vertically placed rear cameras which comprise the combination of 12-megapixel primary camera with an aperture of f/1.8 and a 5-megapixel secondary with an aperture of f/2.4 and LED flash. At the front, the smartphone comes with a notch resembles Apple iPhone X that comprises a 12-megapixel selfie camera offering features such as a f/2.0 aperture, IR fill light, 3D mapping, and Face Wake facial recognition.
In terms of connectivity, the Vivo X21 UD comes with 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, USB 2.0 with OTG support, and GPS. The smartphone is equipped with fingerprint sensor/ under display fingerprint sensor, gravity sensor, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and gyroscope. Under the hood, it is powered by a 3200mAh battery along with fast charging support. In terms of dimensions, smartphone measures 154.5x74.8x7.4mm and its weight is 156.2 grams.
