The Chinese mobile maker Vivo has launched a new smartphone named as Y55s for the Indian market. The handset is priced at Rs. 12,490 and will be available in Crown Gold and Space Gray color in the nation from Sunday. The company at the launch occasion disclosed that the new Vivo Y55s is an updated form of the Vivo Y55L launched last year, that comes with higher RAM and battery. The major highlighting feature of the Vivo Y55s is its Smart Screen-Split ability that allow users to multi-task as well as use two apps at the same time.
The Vivo Y55s has a 5.2-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS display that comes with a 2.5D edge screen. It is fueled by a quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor clocked at 1.4GHz combined with 3GB of RAM. This latest smartphone in India operates on company's Funtouch OS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The handset packs 16GB inbuilt storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB). On the camera front, the handset has a 13-megapixel rear camera and along with a 5-megapixel front camera. The 4G-powered Y55s has been backed up by a 2730mAh battery.
