After the launch of the Vivo Z1 Pro this month, the Chinese smartphone maker company has introduced a new budget phone-Vivo Y90 in its affordable range of Y series smartphones. As the company claims this entry-level smartphone which features a water drop-style notch will be assembled at the brand’s facility in Greater Noida. To recall, this new Vivo phone has also marked its presence in the mobile market of Pakistan, a day before its launch in India.
In India, the Vivo Y90 is placed at the pricing of INR 6,990 and the buyer will be availed with the provided colour options of Black and Gold. This smartphone is available to purchase through all the e-commerce portals and Vivo-partner offline retailers, starting from 27th July.
As per the company, in its Y-series smartphone, the Y90 is the most affordable smartphone which features the latest technology of face unlock.

The Vivo Y90 is a dual-SIM (Nano) smartphone which runs on Funtouch OS 4.5 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. It comes packed with a 6.22-inch HD+ (720x1520 pixels) display with 88.6 per cent screen-to-body ratio. Backed up with a 4,030mAh battery, the phone is powered by quad-core Helio A22 SoC in association with 2GB of RAM. while the internal storage provided stands at 16 GB which can further be expanded with the use of a microSD card by up to 256GB.
On the photography front, the rear section of the Y90 is blessed with an 8-megapixel single shooter with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. While the front gets the availability of a 5-megapixel sensor for selfie lovers. There is an array of camera features being offered to enhance your photography experience comprising Professional, Face Beauty, Voice Control, Palm Capture, Flash, Time-Lapse, Video, Slow, Model Watermark, Time Watermark, Palm Capture, Face Beauty, Selfie Lighting, Voice Control, Video and Time Watermark.
In terms of connectivity options, the company packs the Vivo Y90 with a list of features including 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS along with Micro-USB 2.0 port, USB-OTG and a 3.5mm audio jack. Dimensionally, the device measures 55.11mm in length, 75.09mm in height, and 8.28mm in width while it tips 163.5 grams on weighing scale.
The list of onboard sensors contains gyroscope sensor, accelerometer, proximity sensor, digital compass and ambient light sensor.
