Xiaomi, The Chineses smartphone manufacturer, is going to host an exclusive 24-hour sale on Mi.com for the Redmi Note 5. The sale commenced at 12 am IST today and will conclude by 11:59 pm. The day-long sale is primarily for the dual-SIM Redmi Note 5 and does not include the mass popular Redmi Note 5 Pro. The same was confirmed by Xiaomi via its Twitter account.
The Redmi Note 5 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat-based MIUI 9. It replaced its popular predecessor the Redmi Note 4 in February earlier this year. There is little information about the variants of the Redmi Note 5 that would be for grabs at the day-long sale. In India, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant of the Redmi Note 5 comes with a price tag of Rs. 9,999. The 4GB RAM and 64GB option are priced at Rs. 11,999. As an offer for potential buyers, Xiaomi in partnership with JIO is offering cash back worth Rs. 2,200 plus 4.5TB of 4G data on the Jio network. In addition to these, The Redmi Note 5 comes packed with a host of offers from MobiKwik, Hungama Music, and several others. The handset comes in 32GB and 64GB storage variants, both of which are expandable via microSD card in a hybrid dual-SIM configuration.

The dual-SIM Redmi Note 5 is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC 2GHz processor coupled with Adreno 506 GPU and either 3GB or 4GB of RAM. It boasts of a 5.99-inch full-HD (1080 x 2160 pixels) contoured display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone comes equipped with a rear-facing fingerprint sensor.
The 12-megapixel flash enabled rear camera sensor on the Redmi Note 5 is powered by PDAF (Phase Detection Autofocus) technology and supports EIS (Electronics Image Stabilisation will serve you well in bright light conditions. The f/2.2 aperture could, however, be a let down on special close occasions. The Redmi Note 5 sports a 5-megapixel camera sensor at the front coupled to an LED selfie flash module. The Redmi Note 5 is 4G VoLTE enabled and supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Micro-USB. A 4000mAh battery drives the Chinese handset.
