Xiaomi is working on own Portal for India to Sell Smartphones

China is seemingly acquiring the whole electronic gadget market in India very soon. Yeah, one of the Chinese leading tech brand Xiaomi is all ready to begin its own portal over here to sell its devices. Company is looking for a new way to sell its devices in country. And for that reason, the officials have started working on their own online portal.

Currently, Xiaomi sells its products through a domestic e-commerce website Flipkart. As per the deal of Xiaomi with Indian e-commerce portal, all its smartphones and tablets exclusively follow the same path to each in customers’ hand.

Xiaomi India Head Manu Jain said, "We are currently looking for warehousing and logistics partners in India, as well as deciding on a payment mechanisms like cash on delivery. It may take anywhere between three to nine months." However, the Chinese mobile maker sells its products via own website in global market except India and Indonesia.

It is speculated that India will purchase Xiaomi products through company own websites later in this year. Three days back, the tech giant had introduced its flagship Mi4 for Indian market at the price of Rs. 19,999. This handset has been scheduled for February 10 to go on flash sale.

Manu Jain also said, "We have always stated that India is one of our most important markets. We are big plans for India this year... We are in process of signing the lease on a facility in Bangalore, which will be our R&D unit. This is the first one outside China."

India is one of the biggest markets of company after China. Currently, three devices – Mi3, Redmi 1S and Redmi Note have been showed their excellence here and Mi4 is ready to do the same on its first flash sale.
