Xiaomi, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is gearing to launch Xiaomi Mi 8 to celebrate its 8th anniversary which will be scheduled in Shenzhen on 31st May in China where the company will unveil various Xiaomi products and one of them is Xiaomi Mi 8, as confirmed by the Xiaomi’s global spokesperson Donovan Sung. The official announcement made by the company regarding the launch of Xiaomi Mi 8 has now confirmed that the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is skipping the Mi 7 in its Mi- Series and directly launching the Mi 8 which is to be the successor of previously launched Mi 6.

The company has shared the teaser image on the Chinese Website, Weibo, pointing towards that the Chinese company will launch the Xiaomi Mi 8 on 31st May Shenzhen, China. Donovan Sung has posted the message via twitter reads, “Mi Fans, amazing news! To celebrate our 8th year anniversary, we’ll be launching Mi 8 at our annual flagship product launch in Shenzhen on May 31. Stay tuned for more details!”.
Sung also shared an official poster which demonstrating the number ‘8’ and ‘Mi ‘ logo on the right-hand side. Previously, Sung had announced that Xiaomi's Annual Event is be scheduled on 31st May in Shenzhen, China where the company will unveil the new Xiaomi products. However, the company has not revealed the list of Xiaomi products which will unveil at an annual event in China.
The previous leak reports suggested that Xiaomi had started selling tickets for the annual launch event where the company also unveil other products such as Mi Band 3 fitness tracker along with Mi 8. It is speculated that nearly 5,000 participants would attend the Xiaomi’s Annual Event.
The Chinese company designed Xiaomi 8 specifically to celebrate its 8th Anniversary. The Xiaomi Mi 8, is likely to come with top line Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, 8GB of RAM, iPhone X notch, under- display fingerprint sensor. It is anticipated that the smartphone will run on Android Oreo along with a new MIUI version. Xiaomi Mi 8 probably bears a 5.65-inches along with the Full HD+ resolution. The previous leaks have suggested that Mi 8 will feature 16MP +16MP dual-rear cameras and might pack a 4,000mAh battery with the support of wireless charging. It seems that Mi 8 is likely to feature a 3D face recognition similar to Apple iPhoneX.
Mi 8 will come with an under-display fingerprint scanner which is the key highlighting feature of the upcoming smartphone. The video of the smartphone appeared on the internet which demonstrating the in- display fingerprint sensor. Recently, an image has appeared on the Chinese website which reveals that Xiaomi 8 will be available in two storage variants- 6GB RAM+64GB storage and 8GB RAM+128GB storage. It is speculated that Mi 8 would be priced 2799 Yuan, ( approximately Rs 29,900 ), whereas the top 8GB RAM+128GB storage variant would cost around 3199 Yuan (roughly Rs 34,000).
