Xiaomi Mi A2 is the global variant of Mi 6X which was previously unveiled in Spain on 24th July 2018 has been launched in India. As expected, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has launched the Mi A2 on 8th August in the Indian market. Xiaomi Mi A2 is an Android one version similar to its predecessor Mi A1.
The smartphone will be available for purchase exclusively on Amazon.in across India. Amazon India has created the microsite for Mi A2 wherein the e-commerce giant mentioned the key specifications of the smartphone.

We already know the specifications of the smartphone as the global launch event was conducted in Spain earlier this month.
The Xiaomi Mi A2 has been priced at Rs 16,999 for base 4GB RAM+64GB inbuilt storage. It is anticipated that the Chinese company would soon launch the higher variant i.e., 6GB RAM+128GB in India. In India, it will be available in four color options include Black, Gold, Lake Blue, and Rose Gold.
Interested users can pre-ordered the smartphone from 9th August starting at 12 PM on Amazon India and Mi.com. One must note that the users will have to pay the full amount of the smartphone while pre-ordering Mi A2 via several modes - Debit Cards, Net Banking and Amazon Pay Balance. The deliveries of Mi A2 will start from 16th August on Amazon India, Mi.com, Mi Home, and Mi Preferred Partner Stores.
As a part of launch offers, the Mi A2 will be bundled with Rs 2,200 Cashback offer from Reliance Jio along with 4.5TB additional data.
Xiaomi Mi A2 features a 5.99-inch full-HD+ which offer the screen resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. On the top, it has a 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 which protects the smartphone from damages and scratches.
It runs on the stock version of Android 8.1 Oreo which has been certified by Google's Android One programme. In terms of hardware, it gets an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, integrated with an Adreno 512 GPU. The smartphone is bundled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
It is speculated that the company would soon launch the higher variant of Mi A2 in India also in the coming months.
In terms of optics, the Mi A2 comes with dual cameras on the rear panel consisting of 12-megapixel Sony IMX486 primary sensor and 20-megapixel secondary sensor with an aperture of f/1.75 each. The rear camera set up bundled with dual tone LED flash and Phase Detection AutoFocus.
For selfies and video calling, the smartphone has a 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 front- facing camera featuring an aperture of f/1.75 fixed focal length, and a soft-LED flash.
The Xiaomi Mi A2 has a battery back up of 3,010mAh and the Indian variant will be shipped with Quick Charge 4 technology for fast- charging support. The smartphone supports dual- sim, 4G LTE, Bluetooth v5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Miracast, an IR emitter, and USB Type-C.
Note that the 3.5mm headphone jack is missing on the Xiaomi Mi A2. The smartphone comes with an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, and proximity sensor.
