Xiaomi Redmi 4 Teased to be Launched This Month in India

After launching Redmi 4A in March, Xiaomi is now all set to introduce its another Redmi smartphone in India. However, the company has still not confirmed which phone might arrive, but it is largely expected to unveil the Xiaomi Redmi 4 and Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime in the country.

The company recently has tweeted that it will soon launch a new Redmi smartphone in the country. The company has not mentioned any details regarding the device or its launch, however, it has shared an image having night skyline in the background, and the tagline 'Power in your hands'. Moreover, Xiaomi India’s VP Manu Jain also tweeted that this would be the second big announcement of this month in India, which hints that the company is planning to introduce Redmi 4 and Redmi 4 Prime before the end of this month. The first big announcement by the company was that of the MI Home store launch in Bangalore.

In March 2017, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer had also confirmed that it will launch the successor models of Redmi 3s and Redmi 3s Prime in India. The Xiaomi Redmi 4 and Redmi 4 Prime was launched in November previous year in China and it seems like these are the handsets of which the company was talking about. The company has made this announcement at the time when Xiaomi’s entry-level smartphone the Redmi 4A is available in limited stocks across the country. The Redmi 4 is available at CNY 699 (Rs 6,900 approx), whereas the Redmi 4 Prime comes with a price tag of Rs 899 (Rs 8,900 approx).

In term of specifications, the Redmi 4 Android smartphone features a 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage. In term of optics, the GSM handset is powered by a massive 4100mAh battery and packs a 13-megapixel rear camera with the 5-megapixel front shooter for selfie enthusiasts. On the other hand, the Redmi 4 Prime Dual-SIM smartphone is blessed with a 5-inch Full-HD display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of inbuilt storage and Bluetooth v4.2 connectivity. Apart from this, both of the smartphones comes with same specifications and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
