Accessing internet on a very high speed will no more be a dream in India. As metro cities in India already has the power of 4G, but whole nation is much far from this accessibility. Well, it won’t go long as the Videocon Telecom has informed about its plan of investing Rs. 1,200 crores for 4G service in select 29 cities of UP East, UP West and Bihar circle over three years.
The best part of this plan is the rates; company has decided to offer 4G service at 2G rates in these cities. It will also be providing mobile data plans for the same. Videocon has made partnership with Huawei and Nokia Networks to bless 29 cities with such high-speed internet facility.

The Telco is licensed for 1800 MHz spectrum to offer 4G in select three circles. On the other side, Airtel is offering the same on 2300MHz bandwidth. However, the Indian government got the 4G LTE license on 1800MHz earlier, but didn’t begin the service on such frequency. Now, Videocon is going to start it with its allotted 5MHz spectrum on 1800MHz.
Director and CEO of Videocon Telecom, Arvind Bali said, "We will launch the 4G services (1800 MHz bandwidth) only in some of the cities as the ecosystem for it has not been completely developed."

Company said that the plan will be introducing first in 6 cities and then second phase will connect 12 more cities and the last phase includes 11 cities. Remaining regions won’t get it. It is said that after launching it, the 4G mobile broadband speed will reach to 68 Mbps in country. At such speed, the downloading speed will increase dramatically.
Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio Infocomm, Idea Cellular, and Vodafone are also looking forward to use the 1800MHz band to go into the new direction. On the other side, Videocon Telecom is also looking for intra-circle roaming (ICR) arrangements for 4G to expand the business with the help of other telecom companies, as per The Economic Times report.
