The Mobile World Conference 2016, at Barcelona, is expected to witness the launch of a universal credit card by the South Korean technology giant, LG. According to the news flashed by ETNews, LG is working on fixing the current payment system with universal credit card named, White Card. The card bears LG Pay on it and will enable users to feed information of all their credit cards, making a payment less fuzzing.
Apple and Google had earlier launched the smartphone-based payment system that works with a traditional card-swipe terminal, but LG White Card varies from their respective, Apple Pay and Android Pay as LG's card will not require any smartphone for the identity factor. Several other smaller companies like Coin, Swyp and Plastic have tried to take the leap on universal credit card system but with very little success. Though LG's White Card appears compelling, but triumph depends on the execution.
The ETNews further added that the LG's universal credit card will come up with a low-power display that will keep the user informed about the status of all their different cards and has a button that will allow them to switch and select required card. The images also revealed that the card has battery bar and a connector on the left side and the battery needs to be charged.
The card is reported that it won't work with new cheap readers and will follow the suite of the traditional card-swipe terminal. The information about the LG White Card is still hazy and will have to wait for further details till the official unveiling by The company.
