A known name in navigation device manufacturer, Garmin has finally entered in the smart wearable industry. To make its debut in India, it has brought Vivofit fitness band which will be reached on the famous E-commerce store Flipkart to sell. The band is priced at Rs. 9,990 only. As the band has appeared as an introductory device, so e-retailer is giving some offer on the purchasing.
First 500 customers will get three band strips of purple, teal and blue colors worth Rs. 1,990 for free. The company which is working in auto accessories and navigation systems industry, now entered in a complete new market of personal technology.
This is a small device, having curved display which looks like positioned in the belt carefully. With an ordinary display, Vivofit has user-replaceable batteries which won’t need to be charged. It can be changed after one year of use. This band is not only for showing the time. It is designed specially to track your health and fitness activities like pulse, and steps and calorie intake, distance traveled etc.
This band can also sync with your smartphone using Bluetooth. This is now compatible with only Android and iOS devices. The water resistant Vivofit band is capable of protecting the band dipped 50 meters deep inside the water and also supports ANT+ heart rate monitors. To analyze your sleep pattern, it comes with sleep mode. When you put it on sleep mode, it counts your sleep hours.
