It has been rumored that Google has been working on its project second- generation Cardboard virtual reality headset for several weeks. A new report rolling out in air that this Cardboard is the successor of its previously launched. It will feature better sensors, lenses and a solid plastic casing.
It has been revealed from the familiar people from Google that the tech giant is planning to add new Android VR technology in its section this year. The freshy Carboard, once again based around a smartphone that will slot in the device as its display. It will function in a similar manner as its previous generation VR headset.
As according to the news sources, the successor Google Cardboard VR headset will be compatible with a large number of Android devices. The company is also making some improvements to provide the enrich experience of VR to its users by embedding a new VR tech software directly into its Android OS. This software has reportedly reduced the latency. Google is expected to bring its next generation Cardboard in a similar manner to its Nexus range of devices.
A leaked report claims that Google will showcase the new Cardboard at its I/O 2016 event in May 2016, will be held in Mountain View, California on May 18 to May 20.
Earlier this month, Google has announced that it shipped 5 million units of Google Cardboard VR headset since launch.
