Google to reinforce a new mobile messaging app to keep pace with rival services offered by Facebook. The application is under process by the developers of Google, part of Alphabet Inc., Bengaluru. This smart app will be using Google's Artificial Intelligence know-how, integrating chatbots, and software programs that answer questions. Basically, it will enable users to text friends or a chatbot that will search the web and other informative sources to answer a question.
As per the reports by Wall Street Journal, it is still uncertain that when the application will get launched or what it will be named. Nevertheless, publication thinks that Google has been in a development phase on this application for at least a year. It also added that Google may go for other developers to create chatbots that use the service. Facebook's WhatsApp and Messenger services, Tencent Holdings Ltd's WeChat, and Google Hangouts are the popular messaging apps presently.
