Aditya Birla group-owned Idea Cellular has sliced its prices for 4G and 3G services by 50 percent for night surfing to tackle rival Airtel and grow client base in front of the Reliance Jio launch. "Exclusively customized for night surfers, this offering will help Idea users save up to 50 percent of their cost. The idea also announced the unique Day and Night Twin pack which offers 30 per cent discount to customers as compared to existing data packs," the company said in a statement.
Through this new data pack, Idea users will get the benefit of 1GB data at just Rs 125 for a month, empowering users and allowing them to save up to 50 percent of the normal cost. Notwithstanding this, Idea has additionally dispatched the Day and Night Twin pack which offers 30 percent discount that begins from as low as Rs 115 for 500 MB (250 MB Day + 250 MB Night) every month and goes up to 40 GB (20GB Day + 20GB Night).
Talking about the newly announced affordable data packs, Mr. Sashi Shankar, Chief Marketing Officer, Idea Cellular said, "Many consumers today, especially the working population, access the internet during the night. Acknowledging this trend Idea has announced the unique and special Night Packs as well as the Day & Night Twin packs to offer subscribers an affordable and convenient option to access the internet.
