Few months before, LG has come out in the market of smart wearable with its first smartwatch G Watch, but couldn’t win the customers’ heart. On the other side, Motorola’s Moto 360 is getting huge attention by techie people for its elegant and classy circular built and looks. To stand against the Moto 360, LG has decided to surprise the wearable market with another smartwatch, G Watch R. It is a successor of G Watch and ready to introduce at IFA 2014.
Nobody would expect that the Korean giant would come with a new wearable in that small time span. But few days earlier Company has dropped a bombshell by teasing a video of its next iteration LG G Watch with circular dial. At the time of teaser, we had no idea about any feature and any other detail regarding G Watch R except the gadget’s name, dial shape and the launch event. But, this time it’s not like that, Company has itemized details for the same.
What LG has Detailed about the Next Generation G Watch R?
We can say that LG G Watch is making its come back with revamped design which will give it a retro and classy look with round shaped dial. The elegantly designed G Watch R will come with Plastic OLED display to make the previous rumour true about its display. The 1.3-inch wide panel is coupled impeccably to cover the whole round shaped dial and offers 360x360 pixel resolution which is higher than the predecessor. OLED makes this wearable’s display visible in sunlight. Plastic panel increases the durability of smart wearable make it long-lasting when it will be in upto 1 meter of water for around 30 minutes.
Stainless steel frame protects the screen and will come with calf skin leather strap which will be interchangeable to make it a choice of fashionista. However, no one can classify this smartwatch with ordinary analog watch because of its complete design and built. But, don’t get confused over here as it’s not an analog watch. This is based on Android Wear platform. Wearer can experience all the features like notification alert, Google Now, Notes, Calendar and many more.
LG G Watch R is powered with 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and has 512MB of RAM. It pairs with 4GB of internal storage and fueled by 410mAh battery. What’s more inside the gadget which exerts more people towards this wearable, its health and fitness related features. It comes integrated with heart-rate monitor. For weather forecast, reminder for upcoming meetings, it is loaded with several features and apps.
It has photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor which has the capability of tracking the heartbeats of users. It is said that LG G Watch R will hit the market by end of this year.
