Microsoft has now understood the dominance of Android in smartphone market. As a result, the tech giant has thought to bless Android users with its productivity app. Yes, after enticing Android tablet users, the Office App is coming to Android smartphones. Now, Android phone users can also taste the Microsoft’s Office on their smartphone’s touchscreen which has Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Microsoft has offered the Office App preview for Android smartphone while it’s still far from showing the glimpse on company’s own OS. If you want to experience this new Office on your Android device, then your device should run on Android 4.4.x KitKat or above and have at least 1GB RAM. To test the preview version, you will have to join the Office for Android Community and then you can test t by clicking the links of Word, Excel and PowerPoint. It will take upto four hours to copy the permissions on Google Play, and then you can download all three apps from provided links via Google Play Store.
This preview version will let users to open, edit and create document. Users will not be able in opening the documents from OneDrive only; they can make use of Dropbox, SharePoint and Google Drive for the same. It is said that Microsoft will bring Office for Windows 10 Mobile by end of the year.
