Motorola has announced that it has started to provide Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for its high end smart-phone, Moto X Style, in India. Android M has also been rolling out in Moto X (2nd Gen) and Moto X Pure Edition (2015).

With this new update Over The Air (OTA), the Moto X models gets a new Memory Manager, System UI Tuner, Google Now on Tap and Doze mode. Additionally, the smartphone arrives with improved volume controls, app standby text selection and a RAM manager. The company has also enhanced the smartphone with the app backup functionality that not only backs up your apps but also their associated data to deliver you a personalized experience each time when you restore.
David Schuster, Motorola’s senior director for Software Product Management, has revealed that “release of Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for all the Moto X models through a Google+ post. Schuster says that the initial deployment of the update has already been started for the retail version of the Moto X Style in India and Brazil and Moto X (2nd Gen) in Brazil, while the Moto X Pure Edition (2015) would receive the same update in the next few weeks.”
He also suggested Moto X series owners to make sure that their device has at least 50% battery so that the installation of newly update doesn’t get any interruption in the mid-way.
To find out the update for your Moto X series, follow the procedure, select the Setting icon in the apps menu, select “About phone”, “System updates”. If your phone gets the update, select “Yes I’m in”, after the software download install the software. Now your phone will restart automatically and your phone will be updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The Motorola’s Moto X Style was unveiled last month in India with a price tag of Rs.29,999. It is the successor and an upgraded version of the Moto X Play.
