Sony, the Japanese multinational conglomerate corporation headquartered in Konan Minato, Tokyo, Japan has announced to start its new Research and Development (R&D) project called the Future Lab Program. The Japanese firm puts an effort to involve customers in the designing process for eventual products.
As according to the press release, the newly launched program by the Sony will share all the concept prototypes with the users while its product is still in the development stage for leveraging their valuable feedbacks to refine and improve their products.
In the initial step, the prototype for the Future Lab Program is a wearable device, currently referred to as N, which is hinted in a video below. The company stated that it has a hands-free user interface that brings a new way of experiencing audio such as music and sound by allowing the users to receive audio information without having to insert any object into his or her ear.
N will be shown off at SXSW event next week along with some other Future Program concepts, where we could be able to get a better idea soon enough. It is a program as like the other experiment initiatives like Life Space UX series and First Flight crowdfunding platform by the tech innovator Sony.
