When True Software Scandinavia AB came up with the concept of Truecaller, it was wholeheartedly welcomed by a large user base as today with the advancement of technology, the threat of hacking has also increased enabling hackers to get access to the confidential data with ease and this is not limited to just the desktops or laptops but now even smartphones are a part of this vicious cicle. So, it becomes necessary that the smartphone companies define new ways to protect the integrity of their customers.

As per the latest reports, the caller ID and spam blocking app Truecaller have now received a new update to its pre-existing v6.60 on the Android OS. The new update adds many Truedialer features to the application for example: 'smart call history', 'availability status' and a 'built-in dialer'. In an emailed statement, Alan Mamedi, Truecaller Co-Founder and CEO, said, "Now, you can completely replace your existing dialer and only use Truecaller for all your calls. We are also very pleased to see our OEM partners being so supportive of our mission."
The addition of the above said three features also indicate that the company is looking for some way to eradicate the original Truedialer app which also gets evident from the official statement the company has written on its blog. It reads "In 2014, we launched Truedialer to bring similar improvements to the dialer, which had not evolved since the introduction of the smartphone. Truecaller is now bringing many of the great features from Truedialer and integrating them into Truecaller, giving you full control your entire calling experience with just one app... Existing Truedialer users will be gradually upgraded to the new Truecaller experience."
The first inclusion Smart Call History is a useful feature for those users who are too much into socializing and gets calls from loads of unknown numbers. This feature replaces unknown numbers with real names and faces letting the users skip the cumbersome task of entering every number manually in their device handbook.
The second addon the Built-in dialer as the name itself depicts allows user to make calls directly from within the Truecaller application without making user leave the application saving user's time. The latest update is already live for users and is available on Google Play Store for download.
The last addition of the lot i.e, Availability Status was originally included in the Truedialer app last year in the month of September and now with this new update, it will become an important part of the Truecaller app itself. This feature makes sure the privacy of someone remains intact as it checks for the fact if the user's friends or contacts are actually free to talk or not before the user plans to call them. The availability status is set to Green if a person is free to take calls else case it is switched to Red if the user is already busy on another call at the moment.
