Bharti Airtel has launched their new emergency alert service in the country that will enable its subscribers to send their location details with an alert message to 10 mobile numbers.
Airtel customers are now able to send an alert by a call or message with a geographic location to close ones during any emergency for quick help. They can also send a ‘SAFE’ message in just one click to a group of 10 people from friends or family for their well being during outing or natural disaster.
Customers will be charged Rs.30 per month for 'Emergency Alert Service' and you can send the SMS even with minimum balance in your account. To send an alert they need to call 55100 and the registered number that will receive voice and SMS alert with location of the sender.
To send the alert by sms, the Airtel subscriber need to type ‘HELP’ and send it to 55100 then the message will be sent to all the 10 registered numbers.
