London, World Champion Viswanathan Anand in the ninth and final round of the London Chess Classic today signs off with draw against Norwegian Magnus Carlsen. Anand stands at fifth rank out of nine players with nine points.
Carlsen with 18 points won the title of the tournament based on the number system of football. Russian Vladimir Kramnik stood second after the draw with British Michael Adams. Adams achieved third place jointly. Kramnik's got 16 points where as Adams and American Hikaru Nakamura obtained 13-13 points. In the Final game British Luke McShane was conceded by Nakamura. This was the only decisive gave on Tuesday.
The world's top female player Hungarian Judith Polgar played draw with Aronian. Aronian at sixth position with eight points while Polgar at seventh with six points. McShane is at eighth place with five points while England's Gwen Jones is at final place incurring three points.
A new chess ranking to be announced in January, it is certain that Carlsen will gain highest 2861 rating points in the history. Carlsen has left behind his former master Garry Kasparov in the record of 2851 rating.
