Chilling cold has gripped Himachal Pradesh with minimum temperature is below zero in many parts of the state. The minimum temperature of minus 6.9 degrees celsius and maximum was 2.1 degrees celsius in Keylong town of Lahaul-Spiti.
Lakes and ponds have been frozen in Kinnaur, Lahaul-Spiti and Pangi-Bharmaur area of Chamba district. Till December 6, there will be dry weather conditions according to the prediction of Shimla meteorological centre.
Kinnaur district's tourist places Manali and Kalpa are also freezing with minimum temperature of 0.2 degree and zero degree. The maximum temperature recorded at Kalpa was 8.8 degree and in Manali was 12.8 degree celsius.
The temperature of Shimla was higher than Manali with minimum temperature recorded was 7.1 degrees and maximum was 17.8 degree celsius. The highest temperature recorded of 23.8 degrees in Una. The district administration of Shimla is expecting snowfall in the area in coming days and there will be dry weather conditions. The snowfall related problems are going to be tackle according to the administration.
