FDI invested Rs24 000 crore in December

Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) has invested around 24,000 crore in the Indian Share market that is the highest level of last 10 months. The total investment of FDI is now $24 billion during this year.

According to the record of the security and exchange board of India (SEBI), FDI brought the shares of Rs.71, 595 crore in December but sold the shares of Rs.47, 412. The total pure investment of FDI has become Rs.24, 183 crore. This figure is the highest in any month after February. They invested Rs.25, 212 crore in February and this is the biggest investment by FDI after entering in Indian market in 1992.

The last business day is remaining in December and the total figure will depend on this. After including the fresh investment FDI has invested Rs.1, 27,455 crore till 2012.
