The economical burden is going to increase more on costumers. After increment in excise duty the pressure is not going to increase on companies as it will give more pressure to the customers. According to PMS Chief Globe Capital Markets Mr. KK Mittal the increment in excise duty will make an impact on the costumers who are buying the automobiles of different companies.
Finance minister P Chidambaram has increased the excise duty on Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) and there are rumours about decreasing the demad of SUV and more pressure will increase on the profit of automobile manufacturing companies. But some experts think that companies will put the tax burden on their customers and fulfill the demands with new models. The prize increment in diesel is also a topic of worry for the customers as the main challenge is high diesel prize, not the high excise duty.
Indian automobile giant Tata Motors has got the profit in 2011-12 session was Rs 54880 crore and in 2012-13, it was Rs. 35,696 crore. The profit gained by the company was Rs.1242 crore and in 2012-13 it was Rs.590 crore.
The range of utility vehicle includes the range of 1500CC and more capacity engine. The length of those vehicles must be more than 4 meters and ground clearance should be more than 170mm. Financial year 2012-13 has not got much increment in early nine months. Its growth now will be counted in future.
