Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has stated on Thursday that India is the second largest telecom market in the world, but still there is a need of spreading the telecom industry in rural area and need to clear the difference between rural and urban density of telecom and provide the reasonable broadband service.
He was speaking in the inauguration of India Telecom-2012 organized by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). He said that the country has also become chief in purchasing of vehicles and it has come with a strong image in the automobiles industry. Mobiles and electronics industry should also follow it.
Prime minister said that in the last decade, India has achieved high growth by the telecom revolution and it has to be stronger in terms of domestic telecom industry.
