Intel CEO Paul Otellini is expecting that an inside employee of the company is going to replace him. He also indicated that the largest chipmaker company could launch its factories for strategic customers.
Intel company may produce mobile chips for Apple and increase the shares, according to Otellini's comments at Sanford Bernstein investor conference. He also mentioned that the right type of products cannot enable his competitors and he would consider it.
The plans for customers are more direct than earlier ones. RBC analyst Doug Freedman has stated that statement of difference of previous and current plans of the company.
Apple is dependent on Samsung Electronics for its mobile chips but the war between both the companies for patents, smart phones and tablets making it looking for other suppliers. Intel has also taken interest in Silicon Vally and Wall Street in November for take over on Otellini and announced his retirement.
Now this environment may affect company's entry into mobile phone market and personal computer market as it may be a transformative hire so next will be chosen from own executives.
