Source, A Union jurist on Thursday cast out more than a dozen apparent violation claims register against Microsoft by Google owned Motorola Mobility.
According to court records, US territory Court Judge James Robart, in Microsoft's home state of Washington, sided with the software behemoth, brushing off 13 claims of infraction on a trio of Motorola patents including digital video encoding and decoding.
The Motorola patents were obviously not particular sufficient regarding the computer code taken, as prescribed documents. The decision significantly specified the case.
The intellectual property specialist Florian Mueller of FossPatents.com said, "If the left claims alive a similar effectual challenge, Microsoft would likely be entitled to give a sensible rate to license what is considered a "standards-essential" technology".
