New version of Aakash Tablet will feature SIM card facility

New version of low cost tablet Aakash will be a new experience for the people. It features SIM card facility along with various other functions. Around 50 lakh tablets will be presented in the next series of Aakash-3. The global tender for this facility will be presented in February 2013. According to the member of the development committee of third version the product is planned to be domestic and other part efforts are also going on.

Committee member and professor of IIT Bombay Deepak B Pathak said that their aim is to increase the use of tablets in the education system and make an ecosystem for it. Many companies of computer field are surprised with this product and want to join this process. It will feature a SIM card port for use of as a mobile phone. Aakash-3 will also feature android and linux OS with latest memory and fast processor.
