Over 350 people have died by powerful typhoon in the southern Philippines and more than 400 citizens went missing. Families were indentifying the mud stained bodies covered with banana leaves, they were stunned by the mishap.
The Civil Defense officials reported that more bodies are also about find from the area and 200 people were alone died from Compostela Valley. 78 villagers perished in flood and two military camps were also swamped in the flood. Interior Secretary Mar Roxas visited the area and said that whole families were being washed away by the flood.
The population of New Bataan town was 45,000 and it was a muddy land with lots of banana trees. Typhoon Bopha collapsed many houses and trees with fast wind. Fathers and mothers of missing children were weeping and finding their belongings.
Red Cross federation and Red Cross crescent societies have appealed for immediate help to the suffered people.
