Reservation Limit can be 54% from 50% in Rajasthan

After a new decision of the Government of Rajasthan, reservation in government jobs and educational institutions to be cleared for 54%.

The State Government has approved the report of the State Commission for backward classes is allowed with special four other castes including Gujjars , recommended five per cent quota in government jobs.

Reservation will be 54 from 50 in the state after this decision, from the past five years; the Gujjars community was running movement for their reservation.

The Gujjars leader Doctor Roop Singh told it's a positive step, and welcomed the decision but said that the test of law is remaining they will wait for celebration about the decision just two months.

According to the decision, to increase the limit of reservation, Banjara, Garadiya, Lohar and Rebari also will be applicable for five percent reservation.

With regard to this decision to announce State Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that the Commission's recommendation to the Supreme Court in the case of Indira Sawhney in light of the decision will be applied.

Though the Supreme Court has laid up to 50 per cent of the reservation, but he also said that the limit of reservations may be increase in special status.

The State's previous Government of the Bharatiya Janata Party announced to provide five percent reservations for Gujjars and 14 percent for economically backward communities. The previous State Government's Vasundhara Raje Sindhia created the rule but High Court of Rajasthan rejected it.

The Court asked the Government in the year 2010, that reservation may not allowed without exact report in backwardness associated with any race.

After the court order, the Government has orchestrated such through study of backward classes Commission. Now the Commission has submitted its report to the Government. The High Court also said that the Commission reports will not be immediately into practice and brought it practice only after two months.
