India's largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki is now going to launch CNG version of its Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) Ertiga. The company will launch the CNG version of Ertiga within next two three months. Maruti Ertiga is top MPV with selling of approx 6 thousand vehicles. With positive response of compact SUV Renault Duster and Mahindra Quanto, Maruti is worrying about Ertiga and planning to launch its CNG version. The company is selling petrol and deisel version of Ertiga and now the target is to sell approx 1000-1500 CNG vehicles. The market does not have CNG variant of any MPV automobile.
Ertiga is the first CNG MPV and the company is planning to launch an automatic version for Indonesian market. Maruti Suzuki joint venture is set to spread in the global market with this new launch that will make a new impact on the business of the company around the globe. Today SUVs and MUVs are leading categories for automobiles in the market and companies like Nissan and Honda are leading giants in these segment.
