Here we are presenting some numbers of new cars in the country according to their models:
Convertibles: There are total 28 models of new convertible cars in the country. Some of them are Storm, Porsche Boxster, BMW Z4, BMW 6 series, Mercedes Benz E Class, Jaguar XK, Lamborghini Gallardo, Bentley Continental and Ferrari California and Porsche 911 etc. In the total 28 models, 27 are petrol version and rest of the cars is petrol version.
Coupe: These cars are available with the starting price of Rs.79,90000. Fuel types available in the Coupe models are diesel and petrol. Audi TT, Nissan 370Z, Porsche Cayman and Audi RS5 etc. In the diesel models BMW 6 Series is most popular because it is more fuel efficient. There are total 41 Coupe models in which 39 are petrol and 2 models are diesel version. Coupe cars are very popular and advanced according to the latest technology.
Hybrids: Popular car models in this type are Toyota and Reva. The range of Hybrid cars is under Rs.3 lakhs in which 3 cars are automatic hybrid. Highest range car in this is Reva i Classic at Rs.376000. Reva is very famous brand among hybrid models. It depends on the models that are going to be chosen by customer.
Hatchback: This is a small car segment in which fuel type availability is petrol, diesel, electric, LPG and CNG. Total cars available in hatchback range are 209 in which 65 models are diesel version and 126 are petrol. New cars in hatchback range are Tata Nano Diesel, Volkswagen Polo TSI, Mahindra Verito hatchback and BMW 1 series etc.
Sedans: The fuel types in sedan cars are petrol, diesel, LPG and CNG. Total cars in sedan range are 242 in which 107 cars are diesel version. Famous sedans in India are Honda Amaze, Chevrolet Sail, Skoda Rapid, Volkswagen Vento and Hyundai Verna. The much awaited sedan of this year was Honda Amaze as it is the first diesel car by the company. Amaze has given much competition to Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire.
