Audi is planning to bring new generation Q5 to the Indian shore by 2017. But, before that, the automaker will continue to sell the refreshed model variants in the market. As of now, Audi has replaced the three variants with the latest variants that come under the Q5 crossover lineup.
Audi India will be now replacing the old variants named Premium, Premium Plus and Technology with the Q5 30 TDI Quattro Premium, Q5 30 TDI Quattro Design Edition and Q5 30 TDI Quattro Sport Edition, respectively. These variants will be sold under the Q5 lineup in India.
The base premium variant features bi-xenon headlamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, 8 airbags,climate control, park assist, while the design trim comes with larger 18-inch alloys, suspension with damping control, panoramic glass roof and Audi’s Drive Select . The sport variant gets a rear-view camera, navigation facility, and a DVD player.
The redefined Q5 lineup is available for sale at the showrooms with a price range of Rs 51.80 Lakh to Rs 59.40 Lakh. In the Indian market, the crossover competes with Rover Discovery Sport and BMW X3.
