Motorola G4 to Get Unwrapped on June 22 Via Amazon India

Motorola the American company that now is a part of Lenovo group, quite recently unveiled Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus in India priced at INR 13,499 for its 2GB RAM/ 16GB storage variant while its sibling featuring 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant has been evaluated for INR 14,999 while the launching of Moto G4 was kept on hold.

As per the latest reports, the company has now decided to unveil the Android smartphone in India on coming June 22, while the pricing is still kept under wraps. The G-series smartphone would be made available for purchase via Amazon India which is a welcoming change since from this year, Motorola has officially collaborated with Amazon for its smartphones, a deal which was earlier signed with Flipkart.

In terms of specification, Moto G4 features a 5.5-inch Full HD display with pixel density of 401ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for extra protection. The device further in terms of dimensions measures 7.9 mm in thickness and equips rounded edges with more of a squared look. In terms of camera, the GSM-handset sports a 5-megapixel front camera coupled with a 13-megapixel camera on the back end featuring phase detection autofocus [PDAF] ability. One must note that Moto G4 Plus comes with a better 16-megapixel camera on the back side that offers improved low-light performance.

Under the hood, the Dual-SIM device is powered by a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM and operates on Android Marshmallow v6.0.1 out-of-the-box. The device offers 16GB of internal storage, but the users have not been provided with the option of expanding it further unlike other smartphones.

Armed with a 3,000mAh battery along with TurboPower charging support, the device further offers standard connectivity options that include 4G LTE and VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. Despite knowing a lot about the product, there is still an issue of pricing. The company is yet to divulge information on it, and if at all the company decides to price it under INR 11,000, then it could pose a serious challenge to other smartphones like Redmi Note 3, LeEco Le 2, Yu Yunicorn and others.
