The E-paper Based Smartphone: YotaPhone 2 Set to Go on Sale in Europe

The hugely-talked smartphone, YotaPhone 2 finally received some official word regarding its arrival. According to the reports of Androidpolice, this second-generation handset is all-set to hit the marketplace of 20 European countries in December, while its worldwide release has been planned for early next year. In Europe, the device will be launched at 33,000 Rubles that is roughly $610 or 495 Euro.

Diving into this feature-rich smartphone, in which the inclusion of touch-sensitive dual screens are its most highlighted part. Here, mobile is equipped with a 5-inch AMOLED front display along with a 4.7-inch built-in e-ink rear screen. Based on Electronic paper Technology, the back screen of mobile phone is able to perform basic tasks and alerts such as Google Maps, calls even with a very low battery. However, it doesn't work with all applications, but it also offers a better deal for people that are looking for an e-reader.

The two-in-one gadgets is engineered by a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor that is clocked at 2.3GHz. The incorporation of NFC, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, USB 3.0, Bluetooth v4.0 and GPS connectivity options also make this Android 4.4 KitKat equipped handheld quite tempting. On the imaging front, it bestows an 8-megapixel primary shooter with LED flash along with a 2-megapixel selfie snapper.

Apparently, the successor of YotaPhone: YotaPhone 2 had seen light of the day at Mobile World Congress 2014, which was held in Barcelona in February. And, now sources are suggesting that company has also decided to heat up the marketplace of Canada, Latin America, China and other Asian countries in early 2015.
