Toyota unveiled a 2017 facelift version of the Corolla Altis today. This 2017 model will go on sale first in Russia by the end of this year. This time, we will also get the updated facelift version for the India-specs Corolla Altis. Though, there is no official word, but it is expected to touch the showroom floors by mid-2017.

Based on the Toyota’s ‘Under Priority and Keen Look’ design ideology, the 2017 Corolla Altis looks sharper and stylish than the current selling model. Having a look at the changes, the new Corolla Altis Facelift gets a host of cosmetic updates, while the under hood engine remains same with some additional mechanical features.

This means, the 2017 Corolla facelift will carry the same heart under its hood with a new ESP (Electric Power Steering) and a revised suspension. Hence, India-bound 2017 Corolla Altis will continue with the same a 1.8-litre petrol and a 1.4-litre diesel powertrains. The petrol unit will be mated to either a 6-Speed manual or a CVT gearbox and will produce 138 bhp of power and 173 Nm of torque, whereas the diesel unit will come paired with only 6-Speed manual transmission and will churn out 87.2 bhp with 205 Nm.
With the updated sets of motors, the new 2017 Corolla Altis is expected to give a slightly improved fuel mileage of upto 14 kmpl with petrol unit and 26 kmpl with diesel unit.
Taking a tour of its updates, the exterior features of the new Corolla Altis include new LED head and taillamps, LED Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs), new front fascia (featuring new grille, redesigned bumper and hood), chrome finish door handles and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Moving on the interiors, the 2017 version features a new upholstery and a Sat-nav touch infotainment display.
On safety side this facelift variant comes with a Pre-Collision System (PCM), Lane Departure Alert (LDA) and Automatic High Beam (AHB), besides the currently offers, such as Airbags, ABS, EBD and Cruise Control.
How much will it cost? As the 2017 Corolla Altis facelift received a host of new features whether it is safety, style or comfort. Hence, it will surely get a price hike over the current model, still we expect the minor bump in its cost. And the new entry-level 2017 Corolla Altis is expected to come with a price tag around INR 14 Lakh.
